Parts arriving!
Just wanted to do a status update. While it may not look like it, I am working hard on resuming testing. I have ordered a bunch of parts and they are starting to show up. I now have two nice De-Sta-Co 300lb force clamps that I will be trying to use to clamp the fishing line so I can do tool less clamping for fishing line testing. These will be pushing a clamping block against a shaped bollard that the line will wrap around. Also pictured is a tiny linear actuator that will be used to force fishing line in to a 1/4″ wide slot to measure fishing line stiffness.
Still awaiting more parts such as a 300 gram load cell that will do a 2 mv/v output for the stiffness testing. Various pieces of aluminum needed to build everything still not here yet.
